BINGO RETURNS WITH THE TITAN TYLER GOODIES

official Press Release – Titan Racing

Titan Racing crew chief “Bingo” Jenkins has returned from a whirlwind trip to the USA last week where he packed a container of go-fast bits for American Tyler Walker’s assault on the Aussie Sprintcar summer.“ We packed a lot into those few days I was away, and we packed a lot into that container,” grins Jenkins; “I don’t think Tyler will want for anything on his tour with us this year that’s for sure." With assistance from Jimmy Carr and the team at TSR (Tony Stewart Racing) Jenkins loaded up a container with spares and an extensive range of Sprintcar performance parts that will arrive around mid-August.“When the container gets here in August it gives us time to bolt everything together and be ready for Tyler to race one week before World Series Sprintcars starts,” admits Jenkins, “I’m keen to get started building these Maxims up.” Reeve Kruck too is keen to get going.

“I think it’ll be good,” he admits,“ Tyler will bring a lot to the table for the sport in this country and I’m excited about having him race with us.” Tyler is currently gearing up for the 2010 All Star Circuit Of Champions OHIO Speedweek Series driving the Keen Motorsport #17 Peterbilt sponsored entry and has already notched up 3 main event wins from 16 starts this American Summer. The 31 year old Californian has been competitively racing since starting off on bicycles before progressing on to the All Stars Sprintcars as a fresh faced 16 year old. In no time at all he was racing with the World of Outlaws, winning his share of main events, before winning the Gumout WoO development series the year after. Last season he won the King of California series, in the process breaking the record for the most amount of wins in a single season with the Golden State Challenge Sprintcar Series. He’s in good touch, and looking to touch down in Australia to belt into the Titan Maxim early to mid-November.

TYLER IS A TITAN!

Author : Titan Racing Media

He’s one of the world’s most explosive Sprintcar drivers, and come November 2010 he’ll also be a TITAN.

Titan Racing Australia main man Reeve Kruck was delighted to announce today that Tyler Walker will drive the Titan Garages entry in a dazzling array of major Australian events including the 2010/2011 World Series Sprintcars schedule.

“I’m very excited,” said Kruck before heading to the USA this week, “Bingo (Jenkins) and I thought long and hard about who we’d like to put in the car for the Aussie summer and we both agreed that Tyler will bring a lot to the sport both on and off the track.”

Walker is renowned throughout the world as one of dirt track racing’s great entertainers – a point not lost on the promotional savvy Kruck.

“Tyler’s great with the fans and he can stand on the gas,” admits Reeve, “I think he’ll add a lot to the sport with his enthusiasm and the way he races.”

Walker’s new Titan crew chief Bingo Jenkins concurs.

“Reeve and I agreed that Tyler has what it takes to win down here, and he’ll be a good drawcard for promoters and fans. He knows how to get people going.”

Walker in return is thrilled to secure the Titan drive for 2010.

“I’ve always wanted to come to Australia but it’s never worked out for one reason or another. This time I’m super-excited to race for a team like Titan that has such top notch equipment.”

So what does Walker know about Australian racing in general?

“People tell me that its a lot like California down there,” he concedes, “the tracks are more like bullrings (generally smaller than USA tracks) and they’re not as slick as some of the places we run over here. I like that, I like to get up over the wheel and back it in, so the conditions down there should suit me.”

Walker is currently running Maxim chassis over on the East Coast of the USA, a situation that will assist the Californian when he arrives in Queensland.

“We have a Maxim car with only a handful of shows on it good to go, and we have two new Maxims that we’re about to order,” says Jenkins, “so Tyler will have all he needs to get the job done.”

So what’s the schedule?

“I think we can safely look at around 30 shows,” admits Reeve Kruck, “by the time you lock in around 20 nights with World Series, plus the Classic and the other blue ribbon events it’s not hard to rack up 30 events between November and the end of February.”

That kind of commitment suits Tyler Walker just fine.

“First and foremost my priority is to win races for Mr. Kruck and Bingo,” says Tyler, “but I am looking forward to seeing your beautiful country down there and checking out the wildlife.”

Asked if he’ll be bringing his crowd-pleasing back flip antics down to Oz Walker was quick to reply.

“In the last few years I’ve had an annoying shoulder injury which has cut down on my back flips, but I feel much better physically now and I’m looking forward to throwing a few off the Titan Maxim – hopefully after a main event win!”

More information on Tyler Walker driving for Titan Garages Racing Australia will follow soon…
